Biography

As a Redshirt Junior (2017) - Redshirted for the Sunbirds. 

As a Junior (2016) - Appeared in 17 games for the Sunbirds, making 11 starts....scored four goals, including the game-winner over Hawai'i Hilo....added assists against Azusa Pacific (10/12) and California Baptist (10/27)....picked up two assists to total four points in the season finale against Hawai'i Pacific (11/5).

As a Sophomore (2015) - Appeared in seven games for the Sunbirds....totaled six points on two goals and two assists....scored a goal and dished out a pair of assists in win over Concordia (10/31)....netted a goal in win over Holy Names (10/28).

As a Freshman (2014) - Appeared in 10 games for the Sunbirds...totaled six points on three goals...scored his first career goal, which proved to be the game-winning goal, in the season opening win against CSU Monterey Bay (9/9)...tallied a pair of goals in a win over Holy Names (10/2). 

Prior to FPU - Played three years of varsity soccer at Centennial High School for Tommy Porrello...scored 17 goals and dished out five assists his senior season...earned the team's Most Valuable Player award...earned All-City, All-Region and All-League honors his senior season.

Personal - Parents are Mike and Zenny Sanchez...has three older brothers named Allan, Chris and Tony...favorite food is Mexican...enjoys watching the movie Fired Up...his best friend, Cobi Hunt, plays at California Baptist...roots for Barcelona and his favorite athlete is Lionel Messi...hobbies include playing basketball...Eric is a kinesiology major.
