Ty Shaw was named an assistant coach with the Fresno Pacific men’s basketball program in October of 2015.
Shaw came to FPU after spending three years coaching professionally in Germany. He most recently served as the head coach in the German Pro B league for Uni Riesen Leipzig. He served as the head coach of the White Wings Hanau in 2013-14 and held the same position for TV Langen in 2012-13.
Shaw played college basketball for The College of Idaho from 1998-2002. He led the Coyotes to a 2001 NAIA quarterfinal appearance and was also selected as an All-Cascade Conference honoree. He then played professionally in Germany, England and Australia for ten years following graduation.
Shaw earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing and history from the College of Idaho in 2002. He and his wife, Alexandria, and their son reside in the Valley.
