Daniel Dyck joined the men's basketball program as an assistant during the 2017-18 season.

He came to FPU from Grand Canyon University, where he served as the team manager. He graduated from GCU in 2018. A Clovis native, Dyck played basketball at Clovis High School and graduated in 2014.

“Daniel has quickly proven himself as one of the best up and coming assistant coaches in the country," head coach C.J. Haydock said. "He’s got a great grasp of analytics, he sees the game in a mature and developed way, and his desire to learn and grow is a great example for all who come into contact with him. He’s established himself early as a force on the recruiting front, and our program is blessed to have a tremendous young talent like Daniel.”
