As a Junior (2015) - Started all 58 games for the national champion Sunbirds....earned the NCAA Division II Gold Glove award at First Base after finishing the regular season with a perfect fielding percentage....recorded 511 putouts and 41 assists on the year....hit .259 with a .352 on-base percentage, 14 doubles, two homeruns, 29 RBI and nine stolen bases....collected six hits during the team's World Series run....went 5-for-9 with three RBI and a homerun in two wins vs. Cal Baptist.

Prior to FPU - Played two seasons at Reedley College earning first team all-conference honors and a sophomore showcase invite....prepped at Lemoore High School, spending four years on varsity for coach Rich Leavens....honors included first team all-league as a junior and senior, honorable mention as a sophomore, City/County All-Star, Tiger Award and offensive player of the year.

Personal - Parents are Tim and Shannon Pate.....has a brother, Trevor....the people he admires most are his mother, grandma and aunt....favorite foods are chicken strips and mac 'n cheese....enjoys listening to Motley Crue and Shinedown....favorite teams are the New York Yankees and Denver Broncos....favorite athlete is Derek Jeter....Nick is a criminal justice major with plans of going into law enforcement.
