Biography

As a Sophomore (2012) - Appeared in five games for the Sunbirds as a middle infielder and pinch-runner....went 0-for-1 with a run scored.

As a Freshman (2011) - Appeared in six games for the Sunbirds, going 0-for-1 with a hit-by-pitch in two plate appearances....scored two runs as a pinch-runner, including the winning run in the bottom of the 14th inning of a 3-2 win over #9 Biola (4/14).

Prior to FPU- Played for Coach Mike Daboul at Winnacunnet High School in Boston, earning two varsity letters...named to the All-State Team....received the team's Most Improved Award.

Personal- Born April 18, 1992...Parents are Mike and Heidi Cronin...Has five siblings...Chose FPU to play baseball year-round and receive a good education...Favorite sports team is the Boston Red Sox...favorite athlete is Nomar Garciaparra...Matt is a Kinesiology: Pre-Physical Therapy major.
