Biography

As a Junior (2016) - Appeared in 10 games on the mounds, including three starts....posted a 3-0 record....struck out 20 batters in 26.0 innings pitched....hurled a complete game against Concordia (3/12)....Academic All-PacWest.

As a Sophomore (2015) - Pitched in 11 games, making three starts for the national champion Sunbirds....posted a 1-1 record and 5.19 ERA in 17 1/3 innings pitched....threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings and struck out three in win at Cal Baptist (3/17)....started NCCAA World Series game vs. Palm Beach Atlantic, going five innings and giving up one run....PacWest Scholar-Athlete.

As a Freshman (2014) - Appeared in four games out of the bullpen for the national champion Sunbirds....posted a 1-0 record with a 4.05 ERA in 6 2/3 innings....tossed a scoreless inning against nationally-ranked Cal Baptist (3/29)....threw four scoreless innings to earn first collegiate win during pool play of the World Series in victory over Trinity Christian (5/16).

Prior to FPU - Played four years of baseball at Beyer High School, including two years on the varsity team.

Personal - Born September 17....parents are John and Patti....favorite athlete and person he'd most like to meet is Clayton Kershaw....favorite musical artist is Kid Ink....favorite team is the Miami Dolphins....Austin is a business major.
