Personal - Shirin was born in Jerusalem, Israel, and raised in Las Vegas, NV...She is the daughter of Mansour Turujman and Rwayda Hadad...She has two older sisters, Ghada and Rana...Her favorite food is sushi...She likes hip hop and pop music...Her favorite movies include "The Notebook" and "The Lake House"...She is fluent in Arabic...Her hobbies include working out, shopping, watching movies, bowling and spending time with her friends...Shirin is a Kinesiology major...Her career goal is to become a nutritionist.

Prior to FPU - Shirin is a graduate of Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas...Her basketball coach was Michelle Minggia...As a freshman, she was named Rookie of the Year...She was named MVP in her junior and senior year...She earned first team All-Conference as a junior and senior.

As a freshman (2006) - Shirin played in 20 games including 10 starts...She shot 37.5 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from the arc and 52.4 percent from the line...She snatched 1.6 rebounds and averaged 3.2 points per game.

As a sophomore (2007) - Shirin played in 29 games including 15 starts...She shot 37.7 percent from the field and 62.5 percent from the line...She averaged 2.6 rebounds and 3.9 points per game. 

As a junior (2008) - Shirin played in all 28 of the Sunbirds' games including 14 starts...She shot 30% from the field, 32% from beyond the arc, and 78% from the free throw line...Shirin averaged 22.2 minutes, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game... She also had 71 rebounds and 55 assists.
