Biography

As a Junior (2009) - Played in all 38 matches and all 128 sets playing libero for the national champion Sunbirds....Finished the season with 604 digs and led the GSAC with 4.72 digs per set....Finished second on the team with 37 service aces....Recorded a season-high 26 digs three times, twice against Concordia including the national semifinal victory (12/5)....Was co-winner of the team's Most Improved Award.

As a Sophomore (2008) - Appeared in 54 games over 24 matches...She had 14 service aces and 95 digs.

As a Freshman (2007) - Appeared in 54 games over 24 matches...She accumulated 17 service aces along with 71 digs.

Prior to FPU - Mariah is a graduate of Clovis West High School, where she played volleyball all four years...Her coach was Rhonda DeRuiter...Her team was the 2006 TRAC Champion...She was named Most Valuable Defensive Player, and first-team All-TRAC in 2005...As a Golden Eagle, Mariah also played basketball for four years, and badminton for one year...She was a three-time Scholar Athlete...She played club volleyball with Central Cal for seven years...Her team was Junior Olympic qualifier for three years.

Personal - Mariah was born and raised in Fresno...She is the daughter of Phil Mandelbaum and Leisa Donley...She is the oldest of four siblings...Her favorite books include the "Harry Potter" series and the "Twilight" series...She enjoys going to the lake, where she surfs behind the boat and does trick skiing...She volunteers in the Labor and Delivery Department at St. Agnes Hospital...Her home church is Woodward Park Baptist Church...Mariah is a Kinesiology major with a minor in Coaching...She aspires to become a labor and delivery Nurse Practitioner and later on a Certified Nurse Midwife.
