As a Junior (2009) - Played in 37 matches for the national champion Sunbirds....Finished with 238 kills and 110 blocks....Had a season-high 15 kills in wins vs. Azusa Pacific (11/3) and CSU Bakersfield (10/13)....Recorded seven blocks on three different occasions.

Prior to FPU - Michelle is a graduate of Bakersfield Christian High School...She was named team Co-MVP, SSL League MVP, first team All-League, and first team All-Area for two years in a row...Michelle attended the University of Idaho before transferring to Sacramento City College, where she played volleyball for two years...She was named Conference MVP, first team All-Northern, first team All-State, first team All-American, and first team All-State Tournament team both years...Her team was Co-Conference Champion and finished third in the state in 2007.

Personal - Michelle was born in Frazier Park, CA but calls Bakersfield, CA her home...She is the daughter of Marshall and Chris Johnson...She has two older sisters, Nicole and Victoria...Her favorite athletes include Lisa Leslie, Elaine Youngs and Karch Kiraly...Her favorite foods are sushi and ice cream...She enjoys spending time with family and friends...Michelle is a Kinesiology major with a Coaching minor...Her career goal is to become a coach.
