Personal - Kelyn was born in Fresno but calls Reedley, CA his home...He is the son of Randy and Tamara Schellenberg...He has a younger brother and sister...His favorite teams are the SF Giants and SF 49ers...He likes Mexican and Chinese food...He has traveled to the Philippines...He enjoys country music...His hobbies include hunting, camping and hiking...His home church is Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church...Keyln is a Business Management major...He hopes to own his own business someday.

Prior to FPU - Kelyn is a graduate of Immanuel High School...He played baseball, football and basketball all four years.

As a junior (2009) - Kelyn started in 9 games, appeared in 27, and had one complete game...He pitched more innings than any other Sunbird (93.2) and had a 3.56 ERA...Kelyn had 44 strikeouts on the year and held his opponents to a .311 batting average...He had the 4th best ERA on the team as well as the second most wins...Kelyn was in the top 10 players in the GSAC for lowest ERA...He was named Honorable Mention All-American...He was also named to the All-GSAC Team.
