As a Junior (2019) – at the PacWest Championships, scored points for the Sunbirds in the 800m race after clocking a lifetime best 2:16.74 during preliminaries….recorded a career best 4:58.78 in the 1500m at the Cal Poly ShareSLO Invitational.

As a Sophomore (2018) – recorded a season-best 5:06.92 in the 1500m at the Sunbird Invitational….clocked 2:19.54 in the 800m at the Cal Poly Invitational, good for another season best.

As a Freshman (2017) - closed the season with a record-breaking performance in the 4x400 relay, where the team sprinted to an FPU all-time best 3:48.02….logged a season-best 5:04.33 in the 1500m while racing at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival….at the Hornet Invitational, finished the 800m at 2:21.14, good for ninth best all-time at FPU….at the Westmont Sunshine Open, won the 800m with a time of 2:29.70.

Sunbird Notes - Also a member of the women's cross country team.

Prior to FPU - Spent four years on the varsity track & field team under head coach Kim Moshier...named team MVP her junior season, All-American her senior season and a team captain...also ran on the cross country team, where she received All-American honors as a junior and senior....WYL team champions....top times include 2:14 in the 800, 58:17 in the 400, and 5:26 in the mile....two-time Character Counts honoree....also competed on the soccer team, where she was a two-time team MVP.

Personal - Daughter of John and Andi Perez....has two siblings, Jace and Remi....father, John, played baseball in college....greatest sports thrill thus far was competing in the 800 at the state meet....chose FPU because of the close-knit, positive atmosphere....people she most admires are her parents....loves any type of Italian food....favorite athlete is Jenna Prandini....hobbies include reading and running....Tatum is a business major.
