Personal - Marissa was born in San Jose, CA but calls Hanford, CA her home...Her parents are Gary and Trish Nunes...She has a younger brother, Bryan...Her favorite books include "Theirs is the Kingdom" and "Amos"...Her favorite movies include "Anchorman" and "Dumb and Dumber"...She has traveled to Canada, Germany and Hungary...Her hobbies include traveling and thrift shopping...Marissa is a double-major in Psychology and Contemporary Christian Ministries...She plans to pursue Christian counseling and urban ministry for her career. 

Prior to FPU - Marissa is a graduate of Hanford High School...She participated in water polo, soccer, swimming and diving...She was named MVP and team captain for water polo...She was also a member of the California Scholarship Federation...Marissa attended Fresno City College before transfering to FPU...She played water polo there for two years...Her coach was Janelle Odom...She was the team captain in 2007...Her team was 4th in state in 2006 and 5th in state in 2007.
