As a Junior (2018) – ACWPC All-Academic “Excellent” honoree….appeared in eight games for the Sunbirds, making two starts in the cage…. In 148:35 minutes, he tallied 51 saves and a .425 save percentage….netted one goal and three steals on the year….season highlights included his game-winning, buzzer-beating full-pool shot, which handed FPU an 18-17 victory over Chapman (10/6)....he also added ten saves to the winning effort.

Prior to FPU - Spent two seasons at Modesto JC under head coach Eric Fischer....named All-American both seasons....team MVP....two-time All-Big Eight....prepped at Thomas Downey High School under head coach Timothy Vesey....spent three seasons on the varsity team....league MVP....three-time league champions....two-time All-League First Team member....CSF liftetime member.

Personal - Son of Amanda Woods and Anthony Hicks....person he most admires is his grandfather....plays video games as a hobby....Michael is a history major with plans to become a teacher and water polo coach.
