Biography

As a Senior (2017-18) - NCAA Woman of the Year nominee....five-time NCAA All-American....CoSIDA Academic All-American....CSCAA Scholar All-American....at the NCAA Championships, she was fourth overall in the 200 breast (2:14.25), eighth in the 100 fly (54.42), eighth in the 100 breast (1:02.08) and a member of the third-place 200- and 400-medley relays.

As a Junior (2016-17) - Four-time NCAA All-American….National Swimmer of the Week (11/15)….PCSC Athlete of the Week (12/7)….CSCAA Scholar All-American….CoSIDA Academic All-District….at the NCAA Championships, she was sixth overall in the 200 breast (2:14.82), sixth in the 200 IM (2:01.26), fifth in the 200 medley relay (1:42.37) and seventh in the 400 medley relay (3:45.01).

As a Sophomore (2015-16) - PCSC Swimmer of the Week (11/18/15, 12/23/15, 2/2/16)....CSCAA Scholar All-American....became FPU's first individual to compete in an A-final at the NCAA Championships, and with a sixth-place, 54.54 finish in the 100 butterfly, she became the program's first All-American in the NCAA Division II era....earned All-American honors after a fourth-place, 2:15.00 swim in the 200 breaststroke....in competition at the PCSC Championships, she broke the school record en route to winning the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.48.

As a Freshman (2014-15) - CSCAA Scholar All-American....Swam to a second place finish in the 200 medley relay with a combined time of 3:46.84 while competing at the PCSC Championships....set the school record in the 100 fly at 55.88, good for a fifth-place finish at the PCSC Championships....competed at the 2015 FINA Masters World Championships and represented the Sunbirds well with two victories in the 100 meter breaststroke (1:14.16) and the 200 breast (2:40.43).

Prior to FPU - Attended Moscow Region State University....prepped at the swim school Brigantina....earned a bronze medal at the Russian National Championship, a World Masters Champion and a World Cup Champion.

Personal - Daughter of Marina Belova and Evgeny Belov...has one brother named Ivan...her greatest sports thrill in her career has been competing at the World Masters Championship in 2015 and the NCAA Championships...person she most admires is her mother...favorite food is chocolate...enjoys watching all the Marvel movies...favorite book is Bulgakov's "The Master and Margarita"....Daria is a kinesiology major with plans on becoming a fitness manager.
