Biography

As a Junior (2016) - Appeared in 39 games for the Sunbirds, including 34 starts....recorded three doubles and seven RBI....hit a home run in a win over Holy Names (4/13)....Academic All-PacWest.

As a Sophomore (2015) - Appeared in 25 games, making 12 starts at catcher for the national champion Sunbirds....went 5-for-42 on the year with a double, triple, four RBI and four walks....went 3-for-3 with a double in win at San Francisco State (2/21)....PacWest Scholar-Athlete.

As a Freshman (2014) - Appeared in 33 games, making 26 starts for the national champion Sunbirds....in 85 at-bats, hit .165 with a .283 on-base percentage....gave the team strong defense behind the plate.

Prior to FPU - Spent four years on the baseball team at Aptos High School, including three on varsity for coach Dave Heinevetter....named the league's top catcher as a junior and as a senior, earning first team all-league honors....played in the area code games (Oakland A's) as a senior....recipient of the U.S. Army athletic scholar award.

Personal - Born October 31....son of Tom and Darlene Bucher....has one sister, Lauren....favorite food is Mexican....favorite show is Duck Dynasty.....enjoys listening to country music....favorite team is the San Francisco Giants....Bryan is a kinesiology major.
