Biography

As a Redshirt Junior (2017-18) - Appeared in 20 games for the Sunbirds, including 16 starts....led the team with 13.8 points per game....scored in double-figures on 15 occasions....led the team in scoring seven times....scored 26 points to lead FPU past Holy Names (12/18)....hit eight three-pointers en route to a career-high 31 points in a 78-76 victory over Academy of Art (2/22)....named to All-PacWest Third Team....Academic All-PacWest selection. 

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2016-17) - Appeared in 23 games for the Sunbirds, including 22 starts....sixth in the PacWest Conference in scoring with 15.5 points per game....led the league in 3-point field goal percentage....led FPU in scoring 13 times....scored a career-high 29 points against Academy of Art (1/25)...All-PacWest Third Team selection.

As a Sophomore (2014-16) - Redshirted for the Sunbirds. 

As a Freshman (2013-14) - Appeared in 23 games, making eight starts, and was a key contributor for the Sunbirds in her first season with the team....totaled 145 points, 39 rebounds, 33 assists and 17 steals....shot a team-high 79% from the free-throw line....shot 31% from long-range....scored in double-figures five times including a season-high 16 points against Dixie State (12/7)....had 12 points in win at Notre Dame de Namur (1/30).

Prior to FPU - Played four seasons at Lemoore High School for head coach Miguel Macias....Three-time Team MVP....Three-time First-Team All-League....Had a 30-point, 12-rebound performance against league power Redwood High....Averaged 16.8 points, 3.9 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 4.2 steals per game her final season at Lemoore.

Personal - Born September 23, 1995...Parents are Randy and Grace Alvarez....Has two sisters, Melanie and Kailynn Alvarez....Pregame ritual includes drinking chocolate milk....Favorite TV Show "Criminal Minds"....favorite sports teams are the Miami Heat and the Seattle Storm....favorite athlete is Sue Bird....Bree is a kinesiology major with an emphasis in exercise science.
