As a Junior (2011) - Spearheaded the Sunbird defense, starting all 15 games....used her superior quickness and ball control to frustrate opposing offenses all season....heads into 2012 as the team's top returning defender.

2010- Medical Redshirt

As a Sophomore (2009)- One of the top defenders for the '09 Sunbirds, playing in all 17 games and making 15 starts....Took six shots, including one on goal.

Prior to FPU - Colleen is a graduate of Sanger High School...She played varsity soccer all four years...She was second-team All-League for one year, and first-team All-League for three years...She was named Defensive Player of the Year all four years...She was MVP for three years...She earned the Coach's Award...She was a Fresno Bee All-Star selection...In addition to soccer, Colleen also competed in varsity track and field for the Apaches...She had numerous records and awards in track...Colleen also played club soccer with the East Fresno United Fusion...Her team was Torneo Mexicana Champion, and Copa Coca Cola Tournament Champion.

Personal - Colleen was born in Clovis, CA but calls Sanger, CA her home...She is the daughter of Patrick and Elizabeth Rooney...She has two brothers and a sister...Her favorite team is the Manchester United...Her favorite TV shows are "Smallville" and "House"...Her hobbies include playing the saxophone, drawing and hanging out with friends...She is a President's Scholar, and a member of the Pre-Med Club at FPU...Colleen is a Biology major...Her career goal is to become a veterinarian.
