As a Junior (2011) - Played in all 111 sets of FPU's 30 matches....led the team with 785 assists (7.07 a/ps) and was second on the team with 294 digs (2.65 d/ps)....also had 101 kills (.260 attack %), 42 blocks and 24 service aces....had three straight matches with 46+ assists, including two matches with 47 assists and double-digit digs in wins at The Master's and Notre Dame de Namur....recorded a season-high 18 digs in win at Biola (10/11)....had 13 digs, eight kills and six blocks in national tournament against Biola (12/2).

As a Sophomore (2010) - Saw action in all 120 sets of all 37 matches for the national champion Sunbirds, playing at setter and defensive specialist....Finished the season second on the team in assists with 522 (4.35 per set) and 4th on the team in service aces with 28....also recorded 138 digs (1.15 per set)....Recorded a career-high 38 assists in just three sets at San Diego Christian (10/16) and had 29 assists in victory vs. Azusa Pacific (9/28)....Recorded a season-high 8 digs three different times, including a national tournament win vs. College of Idaho.

As a Freshman (2009) - Played in all 38 matches as a setter for the national champion Sunbirds....Finished the season with 641 assists (5.1 per set)....Also contributed 154 digs and 25 service aces....Had a career-high 34 assists in win vs. Cal Baptist (10/3)....Recorded 32 assists in three sets against Hope International (10/27)....Was co-winner of the team's Most Improved Award.

Prior to FPU - Emily is a graduate of Billings Senior High School...Her volleyball team was coached by her dad, Jeff...She was a three-year starter...They were State Champions 2005-2008...She was named first team All-Conference 2006-2008, second team All-State in 2006, and first team All-State in 2007 and 2008...She was AVCA second team All-American in 2008, and Montana Volleyball Gatorade Player of the Year in 2008...She was team captain for two years.

Personal - Emily was born and raised in Billings, Montana...Her parents are Jeff and Kim Carroll...She has three older sisters and a younger brother...Her dad is a high school volleyball coach, and all three of her sisters have played volleyball at the collegiate level...She enjoys listening to Christian and country music...Her hobbies include painting, skiing, playing the piano, running and biking...Emily is an English major...She hopes to someday teach and coach at the high school level.
