2012 - Redshirt

As a Junior (2011) - Made his way into the rotation as the team's #4 starting pitcher with 12 appearances on the mound, including nine starts....went 6-3 with a 4.26 ERA in 44 1/3 innings pitched, striking out 30....his 12 walks were the lowest among FPU starters and second-lowest on the team....went 0-for-2 as a hitter....went 5 innings and struck out 8 in first start of the year, a 13-0 win over Menlo (3/8)....earned a win against GSAC champ Cal Baptist (3/18)....threw 6 innings, giving up 2 runs and striking out 5 in win vs. San Diego Christian (4/30)....tossed a 9-inning complete game at Vanguard, scattering 4 hits, striking out 4 and giving up 0 earned runs in a 5-1 FPU win.

Prior to FPU- Played two years for Coach Paul Hodsdon at West Hills Community College...Named Most Valuable Pitcher in 2009... pitched a complete game giving up just one run against San Jose City in 2009...Played on the varsity team at Lemoore High School for two years...named Most Valuable Player in 2008.

Personal- Born October 6, 1989...parents are Brian and Jeanne Castadio...has three siblings....favorite food is Mexican food...favorite TV show is Bones...favorite book is Monster...favorite sports team is the San Diego Padres...favorite athlete is Troy Tulowitzki...Hobbies include riding quads and working on his truck...attends St. Peter's Church in Lemoore...Received the Jeff Hess Award from Lemoore High School....Ryan is a Business Administration major and wants to eventually own his own business.
