As a Junior: Earned NAIA 1st Team All-American and All-GSAC honors playing at the #1, 2 and 3 spots for the national champion Sunbirds....in singles play he posted a record of 22-2, ending the season on a 12-match winning streak.....posted a 20-5 record in doubles play, which included 16-3 when teamed with Kirill Sinitsyn in the #1 spot....the combo went undefeated at the NAIA tournament.

As a Sophomore: Played at the number one spot for the NAIA National Runner-up Sunbirds...had a 15-7 singles record and went 19-3 as part of FPU's number one doubles team....Earned All-GSAC and 1st team NAIA All-American honors.

Prior to FPU - Xavier is a graduate of El Diamante High School...His tennis team won Valley four years in a row...He won individual Valley in his sophomore year...Xavier attended Sacramento State before transferring to FPU...His team won its conference in 2006 and 2007.

Personal - Xavier is from Visalia, CA...His father is Gary Smith...He has one brother,Ivan...His favorite movie is "X-Men"...Xavier is a Business Finance major.
