FRESNO, Calif. - As new members of the CCAA conference, both Fresno Pacific cross country teams secured a top-five spot in the 2026 CCAA Cross Country Coaches Preseason Poll.
The Blue and Orange enter the season looking to build on a strong 2025 campaign. The Sunbird men finished as runners-up at the PacWest Championships before placing 14th at the NCAA West Regionals. The women's team also returns after finishing sixth at the 2025 PacWest Championships and 15th at Regionals. The 'Birds will look to continue their growth while welcoming a talented group of newcomers to the program.
n their CCAA preseason poll debut, the Sunbird men collected 78 points, while the women earned 97 points. Chico State was the overwhelming favorite on both sides, with the men's team receiving 121 points and 11 first-place votes, while the women's squad led the way with 168 points and 12 first-place votes. Fresno Pacific was also picked behind Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State San Marcos and Stanislaus State, setting the stage for an exciting first season in the CCAA.
Head Coach
Landon Miller enters his second season leading the Sunbirds and will have a mix of returning experience and fresh talent at his disposal. Several newcomers will look to make an immediate impact as Fresno Pacific opens the season at the Clovis Crush Invitational, hosted by Clovis Community College at Woodward Park.
