FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno Pacific Athletics is excited to announce the return of the FPU Hall of Fame, renewing a tradition that celebrates the people, performances and contributions that have shaped the department's rich history.  The 14th Hall of Fame class, and first since 2019, will be announced later this summer.

"This is a momentous day for Fresno Pacific Athletics," said Kyle Ferguson, FPU Director of Athletics. "The relaunch of our Hall of Fame is about far more than recognizing athletic achievement. It is an opportunity for us to honor the men and women who laid the foundation for Viking/Sunbird Athletics and whose commitment, sacrifice, and passion made today's opportunities possible. We are deeply grateful for those who came before, and relaunching the Hall of Fame ensures their stories, achievements, and legacy will continue for years to come."

Established in 1990, the Fresno Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose accomplishments and contributions reflect the highest standards of the university's athletic tradition. Honorees include distinguished student-athletes, coaches, athletic-related faculty and staff from the eras of Pacific College, Fresno Pacific College and Fresno Pacific University.

The Hall of Fame also commemorates significant achievements across FPU Athletics and celebrates those who have made an exceptional impact through service to the Viking and Sunbird programs. Together, its inductees represent the competitive excellence, leadership and character that have defined Fresno Pacific Athletics throughout its history. Hall of Fame inductees are recognized in three categories:

Student-Athlete
Former participants in a sport sponsored by PC/FPC/FPU who demonstrated an elite level of athletic success while positively representing the values of FPU, both during their playing careers and as alumni.

Coach
Individuals who coached at PC/FPC/FPU and distinguished themselves through outstanding achievement and leadership within the coaching profession.

Excellence in Service
Individuals who made exceptional contributions to Fresno Pacific Athletics or to a sport sponsored by PC/FPC/FPU.

The return of the Athletics Hall of Fame provides an opportunity to reconnect generations of Vikings and Sunbirds while celebrating the accomplishments, relationships and defining moments that have built the Fresno Pacific Athletics tradition.
