FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific Athletics is pleased to announce Channa Hart as the Sunbirds' new Sports Information Director. 
 
"I am truly excited to be a part of the Fresno Pacific family," Hart said.  "You can tell there's something special at work here. Our team will do our best to highlight student-athletes better than ever before and create an experience worth watching time and time again."

Hart joins the Sunbirds after two years as a Graduate Assistant for Sports Information at Concordia University Irvine, where she was the lead graphic designer for CUI Athletics, as well as co-primary contact for the men's and women's water polo teams and STUNT team.

A collegiate student-athlete, Hart played four years of volleyball at Lewis-Clark State College in Idaho and was recognized as Second-Team All-Cascade Conference, CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-District, Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, and Academic All-Cascade Conference.  While at LCSC, she interned for the athletics' communications department, which sparked her interest in graphic design and digital media.

In addition to overseeing all sports information responsibilities and being the department's primary college sports communicator, Hart will also be heavily involved in FPU Athletics' graphic design, social media and original content strategies.  She will also have a leadership role during all home events and will contribute to the department's ongoing efforts to enhance the overall gameday experience.

"We're really excited to add Channa to the staff here," said Jim Jeltema, FPU Assistant Athletic Director of Communications & Events.  "Channa has totally bought into our vision for FPU Athletics and where we hope to take this brand into the CCAA and beyond.  Her broad skillset set her apart, and I'm confident that she will immediately begin to make an impact from day one."

The Southern California native graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in 2023 with a B.S in Psychology, an A.S in Graphic Communications, and an A.A in Liberal Arts.  She graduated from Concordia University Irvine in 2025 with a Master's in Business Administration.

Hart began her duties on August 4.
