ATHERTON, Calif.- After falling behind early in the match 2-0, the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds stormed back to beat the Menlo Oaks 4-3 Saturday afternoon at the Cartan Tennis Center.
Menlo opened the match by taking the No.2Â doubles match 6-1 and then the No.3 match 6-0 clinching the point for the Oaks.Â
The Oaks pushed ahead 2-0 after winning the No. 6 singles match.Â
Senior
Daimy Paula responded, getting the 'Birds on the board winning the No. 2 singles match in straight sets 6-0, 6-2.Â
Yume Ueoku quickly followed to tie match 2-2, taking the No. 1 singles match in a straight sets as well 6-2, 6-0.Â
The Oaks answered with another win at the No. 5 singles match, need one more to clinch the match.Â
After losing the first set 6-3Â at the No. 4 singles match,
Halle Faherty came back stronger than ever in the second and third taking the sets 6-1, 6-2 stealing the victory.Â
With the win by Faherty evening the score 3-3, the deciding match fell on the No. 3 singles match.Â
At No. 3,
Margarita Munoz was entrenched in a battle. After losing the first set 6-4, Munoz fought back to take the second and the third 6-4, 6-4 completing the comeback victory for the 'Birds.Â
