FRESNO, Calif. - ABC30 Action News anchor and reporter Jessica Harrington recently visited Fresno Pacific University to spotlight the launch of the school's brand new Women's STUNT team — a new addition to Sunbird Athletics that blends elements of cheer, gymnastics, and competitive precision. During her time on campus, Harrington spoke with head coach Alyssa Troutt and members of the inaugural roster as they prepared for their debut season this February, and even showed off their early progress on the competitive routines.
Coach Troutt, who brings more than 20 years of cheer and choreography experience, shared her excitement about building the program from the ground up and introducing the sport's unique, fast-paced format to the FPU community. The feature highlighted how the athletes are embracing the challenge of competing in a brand-new collegiate sport, while also helping establish a lasting tradition at Fresno Pacific while earngin an education.
