AZUSA, Calif.- Multiple school records fell and personal bests were set this weekend at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University.
Shemar Palmer got the 'Birds record smashing started, running a national leading 46.18 in the 400M to break a school record set back in 1992.
Tying a school record set in 2016, Bo Olsen ran a 1:49.96 in the 800M ranking him fourth in the nation going into the weekend.
In the 400m hurdles, Kalobe Jimenez had a lifetime best running a 51.39 which ranks him fourth in country.
Cullin Bates also ran a lifetime best alongside Jimenez, with a time of 53.61 moving him up a spot to ninth all-time on the Sunbirds list.
Placing him sixth in the nation, Emanual Salas is now third all time at FPU in the 800M running a personal best 1:50.18.
Another school record fell in the 4x400M by over two seconds by the team of Palmer, Garrett Fox, Jimenez, and Zavian Cook placing them second in the nation (3:08.44).
On the women's side, Brianna Green smashed another school record in the 400M hurdles with a 59.04, eclipsing the record by .76 of a second.
Green's performance ranks her second in the country.
Hope Erwin improved on her eighth all time mark in the shot put extending it to 44'4.75".
Rounding out the weekend, the 4x100M relay team of Nydia Chance, Brianna Green, Sariyah Copeland, and Ariana Vera had a season best and fourth-all time FPU effort of 45.16 seconds, just missing on the invitational win by .02 of a second.
Up next, the Sunbirds head to Santa Barbara April 26-27th for the PacWest Championships.
