LOS ANGELES-A string of standout performances highlighted the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds track and field trip to the Oxy Distance Carnival on Saturday.

Ariana Womack landed in Fresno Pacific's record books with a 4:52.87 in the 1500m for 10^th place all-time.

Jake Resendez took 2^nd in the 5k with a time of 14:09.34, just missing the all-time school record by .17 seconds. Jansen Gillig competed in his first 5k, finishing in 14:59.30.

Back on the women's side, Julissa Avila finished with a solid 18:11.51.

Bo Olsen rounded out the stellar performances in the 800 with a time of 1:50.82, taking 2^nd place in LA.

This coming week, FPU begins its ramp up ahead of championship season, heading to Sacramento State on Friday and Saturday.
