AZUSA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team ended its season on Friday after falling 4-1 to Azusa Pacific in the NCAA West Regional matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After the Cougars were able to take the No. 3 doubles match, the Sunbirds were able to take the doubles point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 matches.
• Maria Borodii and Lea Falentin were able to win the No. 1 match 7-5 to even things up, and Alice Di Matteo and Sanne Brull were able to lock up the point with a 7-6 win in the No. 2 match.
• APU was able to rally in singles, winning the Nos. 2, 4, 3 and six matchups to get the win and move on in the national tournament.
• After dropping the first set 6-2, Borodii was able to win the only Sunbird set during singles by taking the second set 6-0 before the match went unfinished during the third set.
