SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team earned a 7-0 sweep over UC Santa Cruz on Saturday in the first of back-to-back road matches.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Alice Di Matteo and Sanne Brull took the first doubles win, knocking off their opponents 8-1, followed by Maria Borodii and Lea Falentin earned in the point with an 8-2 win in their No. 1 match.
• Alice Marques and Elise Leik also won their doubles match, taking the set 8-4
• In singles, Brull took the first point in straight sets, only dropping one game in each set for a 6-1, 6-1 win.
• Marques followed shortly after, winning her No. 4 match 6-2, 6-2.
• Falentin matched Marques's score of 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 2 match, followed by a 6-3, 6-2 win for Di Matteo in the No. 3 match.
• After winning the first set 6-4, Leik cruised to a No. 6 victory with a 6-0 win in the second set, and Borodii closed things out in her No. 1 match, falling 2-6 in the first set, but taking over with 7-5, 10-4 wins in the final two sets.

 
UP NEXT
 
The Blue and Orange head to Stanislaus State to take on the Warriors at noon. The Sunbirds defeated them 7-0 at home on Feb. 19.
