Game Recap: Baseball |

Fuson Tosses No-Hitter to Push Sunbirds Past Wolves

FRESNO, Calif. – The Sunbirds baseball team split its doubleheader on Friday with Western Oregon after Justin Fuson pitched a seven-inning no-hitter in game two, leading FPU to a 13-0 win.

QUOTABLE

"It was good to see us respond and play better as a team today. In the first game, although we were better, we still made a few too many mistakes. The second game was great to see. Justin (Fuson) was outstanding, so that certainly set a tone for us. And our AB's were much better. How we feel about the weekend will be decided tomorrow." – head coach Oscar Hirschkorn

  • WOU got one back to make it 4-2 in the fifth, but FPU answered right back when a groundout to second by Lackey brought in Matt McGrady.
