HONOLULU – Darrin Person Jr. continues to impress in his first full season with the Fresno Pacific University men's basketball team, as the Fresno Native poured in a career-high 21 points in a 73-56 victory for the Sunbirds over Hawaii Pacific on Sunday night.
QUOTABLE
"Just really proud of the maturity of our team. These games on this kind of condensed travel, are won by discipline off the floor. They made every decision we need them to win in the last 24 hours - sleep, recovery, hydration, focus, and preparation. That's a huge testament to our collective leadership and emotional intelligence. Another good all-around defensive performance, led by Alex Ferguson. On the other side of the ball, Darrin Person Jr continues his hot streak, and Garrett Cook provides an immense lift for us off the bench. We will reset and try to finish off this grueling stretch with another win on Tuesday." – head coach C.J. Haydock.
