FRESNO, Calif. – After a mix of cancelations and postponements put their season on hold, the Fresno Pacific University women's basketball team competed for the first time in 32 days, hosting Holy Names. The Sunbirds defeated the Hawks 61-44.
QUOTABLE
"Tonight was so fun. It's been a choppy two years, so I think I'm just to the point where when that ball tips at center court, we're blessed. It was a ton of fun. It was a long drought in between games with five cancellations, so we were geared up and ready to play a couple of times, but we got it taken away from us. So we didn't take it for granted tonight, and we enjoyed getting out there with each other and competing." – head coach Tim Beauregard
