SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's tennis team picked up a road victory on Friday afternoon, defeating Westmont 5-2 in Santa Barbara. The Sunbirds have now won two of their last three matches and improve to 4-2 on the season against non-Division I opponents. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Sunbirds took the doubles point with victories in the first and third flights to start the day. 
• Alice Di Matteo took the third singles flight 6-3, 6-3, while Sanne Brull came away with a 7-5, 6-2 win on Court 5. 
• Lea Falentin came back from down a set to finish off Rachal Jackson with back-to-back 6-3 scores in the second flight. 
• Daimy Paula gave FPU its' fifth point of the day with a 6-1, 6-1 win in #6 singles.
• Mariia Borodii and Alice Marques were both hit with tie-breaking losses in the first and fourth flights respectively.

 
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

• Falentin remains unbeaten against Division II opponents in singles action this season. 

 
UP NEXT:

• The Sunbirds return to action on Sunday, April 11, when they are set for two games against University of Pacific in Stockton.
