FRESNO, Calif. – A season-high 12 three-pointers paired with a triple-double from Rachel Berry powered the Fresno Pacific women's basketball team to a 90-58 win over Dominican on Friday afternoon.

QUOTABLE:   

• "We shared the basketball well. We came in with a game plan to push the pace when we could and to make the extra pass. We haven't shot a lot of threes this year. It's been a focus for us to get to the rim. The ball had the right energy and ended up in the right hands to take those shots and we did tonight." – head coach Tim Beauregard

 
HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• The Sunbirds dominated the opening quarter, outscoring the Penguins 28-9.
• The 'Birds held their visitors to just four made baskets in the first quarter.
• FPU led 47-24 at halftime.
• The Blue and Orange held their largest lead with 4:49 left in the game, as the Penguins trailed by 42.

STATS FROM THE GAME:  

• Berry put together a fabulous game, scoring 14 points while grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists, completing the triple-double.
• Jessica Malazarte led everyone with 20 points.
• Bayli McClard put together another double-double, scoring 10 points while adding 10 rebounds.
• Vanessa Cochrane led the Sunbird bench that scored 29 points with 11 points, including three three-pointers.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:  

• The Blue and Orange matched their season high for three-pointers in a game in the first half with eight before they went on to finish with 12. 
• The Sunbirds extended their current streak over the Penguins to six games.
