Bowden Sets New Single-Season Goal Standard for FPU Men's Water Polo

| Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After a stellar weekend at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament, Bodhi Bowden has set a new single-season goal scoring record for the Fresno Pacific men's water polo team.

In his first season with the Sunbirds, Bowden has racked up 85 goals in 20 matches played. He passes David Maes who scored 77 goals in 2016. Bowden and the Sunbirds still have three matches remaining before Western Water Polo Association Championships Nov. 19-21 in Davis, Calif.

"We knew Bodhi would be a strong addition to our program this season, but we never imagined he would have the impact he has. It's great to see him join the ranks of great players that have played here, such as Davis Maes, Zlatko Vlasic, Glen Lyon, and Evan Baird. He is a hard worker and a team player. He listens and is coachable, and gets along great with his teammates. We are blessed to have him in our program and excited for the success he has had this first season. It's exciting that he is a freshman who's a top scorer in the conference and still has seasons ahead of him. His future is bright. I know Bodhi still has a lot more he will accomplish while here at FPU." - head coach Bryan Suhovy
