BELMONT, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's basketball team was tripped up on Thursday evening, falling 63-58 at the hands of Notre Dame de Namur. 
Cassie Pisik continued a dominant stretch for the Blue and Orange, turning in the ninth double-double of her senior season and the 24th of her career.
 
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
	- FPU controlled the opening tip, and Ashley Cross connected with Pisik for a three-ball to start the night.
 
	- The Sunbirds connected on just 34% of their shot attempts from the floor in the first half but still managed to carry a four-point lead into the locker room at the intermission. 
 
	- The two teams went back and forth throughout the third quarter, but FPU went up by as many as seven in the first two minutes of the fourth.
 
	- Notre Dame de Namur closed the game on a 20-8 run, with the Sunbirds coming up empty on 13 of their final 15 shots during that stretch.  
 
 
STATS FROM THE GAME: 
	- Pisik led all scorers with 22 points and hauled in a game-high 10 rebounds, including eight on the defensive side of the glass.
 
	- Jessica Malazarte followed with 19 points as the only other Sunbird in double-figures.
 
	- Auren Isaacson and Nikki Miller each gave the Argos 13 points, while Cheyenne Jankulovski and Rachel Pau'u followed with 12 and 10 respectively.
 
	- FPU outrebounded their hosts 46-38, with each team committing 11 turnovers for the game.  
 
 
BEYOND THE BOX:
	- Pisik's 24 career double-doubles are good enough for fifth place on FPU's career leaderboard and are also the most since the Sunbirds joined the NCAA ahead of the 2012-13 season.
