QUOTABLE:
  • "I loved the level we played at tonight. I thought Nate Kendricks had another really good night, but ultimately, we failed to keep up in the second half with a really good Concordia team. We have to be better prepared and offer our team better solutions offensively. We were tough enough tonight, and we will fix our preparation level." – head coach C.J. Haydock

  • The two teams exchanged runs in the first half, but Concordia's Darius Lee came away with a fast break dunk at the horn to send the game to halftime with FPU in front by two.
  • CUI came out of the locker room on fire, going on a 21-10 run over the first seven minutes of the second half.
  • Aamondae Coleman knocked down a pair of free throws to bring cut the Sunbird deficit back to single digits with just under eight minutes to play, but the home team would get no closer.
