FRESNO, CALIF. – The Sunbirds returned home to the Special Events Center after a long stretch of road games. FPU picked up their second win in a row as they took down Holy Names behind three Sunbirds scoring in the double-digits. Cassie Pisik had a game high of 20-points while Bayli McClard recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• FPU got out to a quick start as Bayli McClard won the tip then drained a three-pointer and set the tone for the game. The 'Birds went on a nine-point run to increase their lead to 13-points with just over two-minutes left in the first. Sara Lundqvist drained her second three of the game to close out the quarter and give the 'Birds a 15-point lead.
• Cassie Pisik knocked down back-to-back jumpers to put FPU up by 19 to start the second. Fresno kept their foot on the pedal as they went on a seven-point run in the middle of the quarter. Lindsey Moody went one-for-two from the free throw line with 24 seconds left to play, but HNU grabbed a bucket to close out the quarter down by 19-points.
• Fresno kept their momentum into the third quarter as Bayli McClard knocked down back-to-back jumpers to give the 'Birds a 23-point lead over the Hawks. A 10-point run by the 'Birds in the middle of the quarter putting FPU up by a game high of 31-points. FPU closed out the quarter on a layup by Ashley Cross and a 29-point lead.
• HNU went on their largest run of the game as they scored six-straight points until Ashley Cross broke the streak knocking down one of two from the charity stripe. The middle of the quarter was all Cross as she picked up two steals and six-points within seconds of each other. Lindsey Moody was the last 'Bird to score in the game as FPU secured a 28-point win.
STATS FROM THE GAME:
• Senior Cassie Pisik recorded a game high of 20-points while pulling nine rebounds. Bayli McClard recorded a double-double in the win scoring 14-points and 11-rebounds.
• Ashley Cross also had a big game as she had 14-points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals.
• The 'Birds recorded a high of 19 assists in the win 13 of which came in the first half.
• FPU shot 43.7% from the field and 30.8 from behind the arc.
