FRESNO, CALIF. – Fresno Pacific took on Loyola Marymount and UC Santa Barbara at Sunnyside Aquatics center on Saturday, September 21th. The Birds were hoping to get their second win of the season and first in front of a home crowd but came up short.
Â
"Our first game this morning was not what we expected. We did not come out very strong and struggled to recognize each situation. We did not play how we planned to and knew we needed to be better. We closed out the game stronger than we started but we have to have a higher standard for ourselves. Against UCSB We had an opportunity to play one of the top teams in the nation for the second time. Our personal goals were to improve in several areas since the last time we played them. We did just that. You take these opportunities to challenge ourselves and improve. The guys had the right mind set and played well. We had our first-year goalies in the goal and they did a solid job. We were much happier with our performance in game two, "said head coach
Bryan Suhovy.
