FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's basketball team closed the season strong on Saturday, as the Sunbirds defeated Holy Names 79-67 behind a solid shooting performance on Senior Night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds, who led from start-to-finish, jumped out to a 10-2 lead behind six points from senior
Toby Christensen.
• FPU shot 50 percent from the floor in the first half and ran into the locker room ahead 33-26.
• HNU cut its deficit to only two in the second half, but
Jake Straughan followed with back-to-back threes to spark a run for FPU that put the advantage back to 10, 44-34.
• The Sunbirds then held off the Hawks the rest of the way and cruised to its 12th win of the season.

STATS OF THE GAME:

Adrian Antunez led FPU with 18 points (8-9 FG) and a career-best nine assists, while
Aamondae Coleman and
Elijah Hill added 13 points apiece.
• Christensen scored 12 points,
Kevin Howland added 11 off the bench and Straughan closed the night with six points for the Sunbirds.
• FPU closed the night at 55 percent from the floor.
• Kyvonte Davis led Holy Names with 17 points in the loss.
