SAN DIEGO, CALIF.  – Fresno Pacific took on Point Loma at Golden Gymnasium on Saturday, November 23^rd for their final match of the 2019 season. The 'Birds fell in three-straight sets to the Sealions.
 
INSIDE THE MATCH UPS:
Final: Fresno Pacific 0, Point Loma 3  
Set Score: 16-25, 12-25, 23-25
Records: FPU (6-25), PLNU (19-11)   
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Sealions took a five-point lead over the Sunbirds to start the match. Point Loma was able to keep Fresno at arm's distance as they took the opening set 25-16. 
• PLNU got out to quick start in the second set as well as they went up 17-9 over FPU. The 'Lions took the second set with easy taking down the 'Birds 25-12. 
• Set number-three was a little bit of a different story as the 'Birds took an 8-6 lead for the first time in the match, however the 'Lions strung together four-straight points to take the lead back.
• Despite keeping the set within two-points the 'Birds fell to the 'Lions in the third set 23-25.

 
STATS OF THE MATCH:

• Corinne Acosta had a team high of eight kills while Miska Legatova added six and Makena Ogas contributed five.
• Senior, Christina Tran had 16 assists, 12 digs and two aces for the Sunbirds.   
• The 'Birds totaled five blocks despite the loss.
