RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Hoping to close out the 2019 season with a win the Sunbirds took on the Falcons in the seventh-place game at the WWPA Championships. Fresno and Air Force last squared off on November 8
th as the 'Birds hosted the Falcons and fell 9-15. It was a similar story this time around as Fresno fell to Air Force 5-14 to conclude their season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons scored the opening goal of the game, but the Sunbirds tied it up as Cody Wickman found the back of the net off of a pass from Uros Pelemis. Air Force added four more goals in the first quarter to take a 5-1 lead over Fresno.
- Air Force tacked on two more goals before Jacob Fairchild scored the 'Birds second goal of the game and close out the first half down by five.
- The Falcons added three more goals before Pelemis found Fairchild for his second goal of the game. Air Force responded with two more goals of their own and went into the final quarter of play with a 10-goal lead.
- Wickman found the back of the cage for the 'Birds off of an assist by Nathan Olson. Air Force added another goal and then William Green scored the 'Birds final goal off of an assist by Fairchild.
