CLAREMEONT, CALIF. – The Sunbirds traveled to Southern California for the Convergence Tournament. In day one of the tournament Fresno Pacific went up against Wagner and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. FPU battled in both games but fell to Wagner 6-9 and then 11-15 to CMS.
INSIDE THE MATCHUPS:
Final: Wagner 9, Fresno Pacific 6
Records: LMU (4-13), FPU (2-11)
Final: Claremont- Mudd-Scripps 15, Fresno 11
Records: CMS (6-7 ), FPU (2-12)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Wagner took an early lead scoring four goals in the first half compared to Fresno's two. The Sunbirds outscored the Seahawks in the thirds quarter to make it a one- point game. Unfortunately, the 'Hawks were able to keep the 'Birds from scoring in the fourth.
- It was a similar story in game two of the day as CMS took an early 8-4 lead in the first half. The 'Birds managed to out-score the Stags in the fourth quarter, but it still was not enough.
- Ottawa outscored FPU in the fourth quarter as they doubled their score ending the game with a score of 18-10.
STATS OF THE GAMES:

Zach Zetz lead the team with two goals against the Seahawks.
Cody Wickman,
Curtis Vidinoff,
Gavin Jette, and
Jacob Fairchild all added goals for the 'Birds.

Jacob Fairchild had a season high of six goals in the loss to CMS.
Tyler Gentry and
Uros Pelemis each added two goals for the 'Birds as well.
