DAVIS, CALIF.  – Fresno Pacific traveled to up to take on No. 13 UC Davis in their third WWPA game of the season. The Sunbirds hoping to get their first WPPA win of the season fell short against the Aggies.

INSIDE THE MATCHUPS:
Final: UC Davis 18, Fresno Pacific 6

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Sunbirds got on the board first off of a goal by Tyler Gentry. UC Davis however scored five unanswered goals until Uros Pelemis found the back of the net for FPU. The Aggies added one more goal to end the first quarter and give themselves a four-goal lead.
• UCD extended their lead by one in the opening minutes of the second quarter, but Jacob Fairchild and Pelemis scored back-to-back goals to get the 'Birds within three. The Aggies scored their last goal of the half with 30 seconds left to play and to give them an 8-4 lead heading into halftime.
• The Aggies did not let up as they out-scored the 'Birds four to one in the third quarter.
• FPU managed to score the first goal of the fourth quarter but that would be it for them, while UCD managed to tack on six more goals.

 
STATS OF THE GAMES:

• Uros Pelemis and Tyler Gentry each had two goals for the Sunbirds while Curtis Vidinoff and Jacob Fairchild added a goal apiece.
• Josh Ramage totaled 10 saved while Michael Hicks added two for FPU in the cage.
