FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific used a strong defensive effort to pick up its second win of the week on Friday night, as the Sunbirds defeated Hawai'i Pacific 71-52.
Adrian Antunez scored 18 points and
Nate Kendricks added 17 as FPU secured a season sweep of HPU.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• With the score 19-19 and just over seven minutes to play in the opening half, the Sunbirds used a 15-8 run to gain control and lead 34-27 at the break.

Adrian Antunez scored 10 points in the first half.
• The Sunbirds then held the Sharks to an abysmal 25 percent from the floor in the second half and rode the hot hands of Antunez and Kendricks to victory.

• Antunez shot 8-of-11 from the floor for his season-best 18 points, Kendricks added three from deep en route to his 17 and
Elijah Hill closed the night with 15 points for the Sunbirds.

Aamondae Coleman added 10 points and three rebounds for FPU, who finished at 53 percent from the floor as a team.
• The Sharks received 15 points and 12 rebounds from Jonathan Janssen in the setback.
