LOS ANGELES – The Fresno Pacific men's water polo team couldn't keep up with #18 Loyola Marymount on Saturday, as the Sunbirds fell 10-2 in Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) play at Burns Aquatics Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Fresno Pacific was held scoreless in the opening half and trailed 7-0 at the intermission.
• Taylor Heckathorn opened the third quarter with a goal for the Sunbirds. The defense then held LMU to only three second-half goals, but the Sunbirds offense never found their rhythm.
 
STATS OF THE GAME:
• Heckathorn and Cody Wickman scored for FPU, while Jacob Fairchild and Kyle Eoff dished out assists.
• Joshua Ramage made 13 saves for the 'Birds in the cage.
• LMU held a .357 shooting percentage in the win and received three goals from Joseph Shaw.
 
BEYOND THE BOX:
• FPU has faced eight ranked opponents in the opening 11 games of the season.
