HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Jessica Malazarte and
Ashley Cross teamed up for the first 11 FPU points, giving the home team a five-point lead at the first media timeout of the day.  Â
• Julia Locastro blocked two Eagle shots in the final four seconds of the opening quarter, keeping the Sunbird lead at 17-9 after the first ten minutes.

Cassie Pisik turned a missed Concordia layup into a jumper at the other end for the final field goal of the first half, putting the Blue and Orange in front 32-19 at the intermission. Â
• The Sunbirds missed their first three shots in the third quarter but followed with a 13-2 run, highlighted by six points from
Rachel Berry.
• With 44 seconds remaining in the period, Berry connected on another jumper to give FPU a 28-point advantage, marking the largest Sunbird lead in league play this season.Â
• Concordia outscored their hosts 13-8 in the final quarter, but Fresno Pacific improved to 3-1 in league action.

STATS FROM THE GAME:
• Berry led all scorers with 14 points, while Cross finished as the only other Sunbird in double-figures.  Â
• Concordia's Michaela Vanderklugt hauled in a game-best 17 rebounds to help the Eagles outrebound the Sunbirds 51-42.  Â
• FPU committed a season-low eight turnovers, and the 'Birds have still lost the turnover battle just once this season.
