FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's basketball team is ready to return to the Special Events Center, where they are undefeated this season. The Sunbirds are set for two PacWest Conference games in the next three days, hosting Concordia on Saturday afternoon and Point Loma two days later.

About the Sunbirds (6-3, 2-1 PacWest)
Fresno Pacific is coming off their busiest stretch of the season, having played seven games in 15 days, including the last five on the road.
Bree Alvarez led all scorers with 24 points in last Friday's loss to Cal State Dominguez Hills, while freshman
Megan Sheret led the team in scoring in Saturday's exhibition against California Baptist. FPU has won the turnover battle in seven of its' nine games, and the 'Birds are 5-2 this season when hitting five or more threes in a game.  Â

About the Eagles (1-7, 1-3 PacWest)
Concordia suffered a pair of PacWest losses last week, falling 85-66 against Azusa Pacific on Wednesday before dropping an overtime heartbreaker to Biola on Saturday. Five Concordia players scored in double-figures for the game, and the Eagles turned in their second-highest scoring performance of the season. Michaela Vanderklugt and Kennedy Fulcher each recorded a double-double in the loss, combining for 31 points and 22 rebounds.

The Sunbirds claim a 34-27 advantage all-time against the Eagles, though Concordia has won each of the last two meetings. FPU is 21-7 in the series when playing on their home floor, including Concordia's last visit to Fresno in 2016, when the 'Birds held on for a 60-59 victory. Â

About the Sea Lions (2-7, 2-2 PacWest)
The Sea Lions went 1-1 at their home gym last week, defeating Biola 60-53 on Wednesday before falling 63-50 against APU on Saturday. A slow start doomed Point Loma against Azusa Pacific, but the Sea Lions managed to play the Cougars within a point over the final three quarters. Sydney Peterson led all scorers with 20 points, while Cara Liggins turned in her third double-double of the season with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

All-Time Series (FPU vs. Point Loma)
FPU snapped a four-game skid against the Sea Lions last January, when Pisik went for 16 points and 15 rebounds to help lift the Blue and Orange to an 81-69 victory at the SEC. Point Loma still leads the all-time series 43-33, including a record of 22-16 in Fresno. Â
