FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's soccer team was tripped up on Saturday night, falling 2-1 to Hawai'i Hilo in the final game of the season. The Sunbirds finish the season in fourth place in the PacWest Conference standings after posting a 7-4-0 record in league play.    Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The two teams exchanged opportunities throughout the first half, but the game remained scoreless at the intermission.
• The Vulcans got on the board in the 61st minute, but FPU answered with the equalizer 15 minutes later. Â
• An 84th-minute goal was the difference for Hawai'i Hilo, helping the Vulcans wrap up the season with the best finish in the history of the program.  Â

• (60:20) Carlie Reader dished off to Jaimie Salas in a crowded box, and Salas fired to the keeper's left for the score.  Â
• (75:24) Hannah Strong gained control after a scramble for the ball, and she connected with
Tori De Leon to get the 'Birds on the board. Â
• (83:16) Hedda Bjerklund trickled a ball into the back of the net, putting UHH on top for good.  Â
