Three Game Week on Tap for FPU

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific continues PacWest play this week with three home matches at the Special Events Center. FPU hosts Hawai'i Hilo on Tuesday, Hawai'i Pacific on Thursday and Chaminade on Saturday.

FACULTY APPRECIATION NIGHT
• The Sunbirds will honor their faculty members on Thursday, Oct. 25 at the game against Hawai'i Pacific. All faculty in attendance will be honored prior to the game for all the hard work and dedication they put in for student-athlete success.

• Fresno Pacific currently sits at 5-18 overall and 4-10 in league play. The Sunbirds will look to snap a two-game skid this week. FPU most recently fell to league-leading Azusa Pacific in straight sets on Saturday.

• The Vulcans rank fourth in the league in kills per set (12.90) and third in digs per set (16.22). Bria Beale leads the team with a 2.75 kills per set average, while Mina Grant heads the defense with a 4.67 digs per set average. Grant ranks third in the PacWest in digs per set.

• Hawai'i Pacific currently sits at 8-13 overall and 7-8 in conference play. The Sharks will visit Notre Dame de Namur on Tuesday prior to Thursday's match at FPU. HPU is riding a two-game winning streak, most recently defeating Holy Names 3-1 in Oakland on Sunday.

Emma Tecklenburg (3.58 k/s) and Alana Handy (3.49 k/s) lead the attack, while Skyler Curry (6.03 a/s) and Danielle Wiley (5.69 a/s) facilitate the offense. Tecklenburg leads the PacWest in kills per set.
